Which Kumbh Should You Choose?
- Cold mornings, the biggest crowds: Haridwar runs January to April. Bring winter clothes for January and February.
- Monsoon, two towns: Nashik and Trimbakeshwar bathe in August and September, with Jyotirlinga darshan at Trimbak.
- Summer heat, Mahakal darshan: Ujjain runs March to May, so plan your snan before the day gets hot.
With elderly parents or small children, any of the three works best on an ordinary snan day rather than an Amrit or Shahi Snan.
