Tarapith and Birbhum Shakti Yatra

The Tarapith and Birbhum Shakti Yatra is a 4 days / 3 nights Tarapith tour package from Kolkata. Pickup is from Kolkata airport, Howrah, Sealdah or a point in the city you agree on. It centres on Maa Tara Temple at Tarapith on the Dwarka River in Birbhum, where Tara, the second of the Dasha Mahavidyas, is worshipped. The town is also linked with the saint Bamakhepa. Prices start from ₹ 13,900 per person (minimum 1 pax).

Many short trips do Tarapith in a single night. This plan keeps all three nights in the same Tarapith hotel, so you can go for early darshan, come back for evening prayer and rest in between without packing again. On Day 1 you drive from Kolkata by private AC vehicle, stopping at Kankalitala beside the Kopai River near Bolpur and Maa Fullara Devi at Labhpur. Day 2 is set aside for Tarapith: morning darshan at Maa Tara Temple, the Bamakhepa sites and an optional, respectful visit to the Mahashmashan. Day 3 is a full-day Birbhum circuit to Nandikeshwari at Sainthia, the Bakreshwar temples and hot springs, and Nalateswari at Nalhati. On Day 4 you can take an optional early darshan before driving back to Kolkata.

The package includes three nights at Tarapith, three breakfasts and three dinners (vegetarian), the private vehicle with fuel, tolls and parking, the local Tarapith transfer and 24x7 trip support. Puja, priority queues, Nalateswari Ann Prasad, hot-spring charges and lunch are paid separately. The nearest railhead is Rampurhat Junction.
