Arrive at Jammu Airport, Jammu Tawi Railway Station or the agreed pickup point and meet the Teerthayan representative. Drive to Katra, the base town beneath the Trikuta Hills. Check into the hotel and keep the first day intentionally light so travellers can recover from their journey and prepare physically for the pilgrimage. The team will assist with practical information for Yatra registration, RFID card collection, permitted belongings, weather conditions and the choice between the traditional Banganga route and other currently operational tracks.

Complete official Yatra registration and carry the original government-issued photo ID used for the booking. Collect the RFID card before entering the track.

Book helicopter, accommodation and other Shrine Board services only through official channels. Use only registered pony, palki and pithoo operators and verify their identification.
Medical Readiness
Consult a doctor before travel if you have heart, breathing, blood-pressure, joint or mobility concerns. Carry regular medicines and a basic personal medical kit.
Pack Light
Carry only water, light snacks, medicines, ID, rain protection and one warm layer on the track. Leave heavy luggage at the hotel or authorised cloakroom.
