Tour Information

Read this to prepare for your tour in the best way!

  • Depart from Delhi in the morning by private AC vehicle and drive to Chandigarh-Panchkula. The first day is intentionally kept light so that families and senior travellers can begin the pilgrimage without an exhausting overnight journey. After hotel check-in and rest, proceed to Mata Mansa Devi Temple in Panchkula for the opening darshan of the Yatra. The temple complex is a major centre of Devi worship in the Tricity region and provides an appropriate beginning before entering the Himachal Shakti circuit. If time permits, take a short evening visit to Sukhna Lake or the Chandigarh temple market before returning to the hotel.

Travel tips

Valid Identification

Carry an original government-issued photo ID and at least one photocopy for hotels, temple administration requirements and emergencies.

Early Starts

Temple queues are usually shorter in the morning. Be ready on time because delays at the first shrine can affect every later stop.

Comfortable Footwear

Use non-slip shoes or sandals that are easy to remove. Several temples involve stairs, slopes and long queue corridors.

Warm Layer

Carry a light jacket or shawl throughout the year and a heavier layer in winter, especially for Dharamshala and early-morning darshan.

Rain Protection

From July to September carry a compact raincoat, waterproof footwear cover and a protective pouch for documents.

Motion Sickness

Lower Himalayan roads include bends and hill sections. Travellers prone to motion sickness should consult their doctor and carry suitable medication.

Temple Clothing

Wear modest clothing covering shoulders and knees. Avoid leather items and follow local instructions at sanctum entrances.

Cash and Offerings

Carry small-denomination cash for prasad, donations, lockers and local transport because digital networks can be inconsistent near crowded temples.

Health and Medicines

Carry regular medicines, a basic first-aid kit, hydration salts and a written list of medical conditions and emergency contacts.

Navratri Planning

Book well in advance and remain flexible. Traffic diversions, long queues, parking restrictions and hotel supplements are common during major Devi festivals.
