The Winter Char Dham Yatra is a 10-day, 9-night road pilgrimage from Rishikesh to the winter seats of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, run from November to April. The package starts at ₹ 11,330 per person, the lowest rate on a booking basis, with GMVN guest houses or similar stays and a vehicle chosen by group size.
When the four Himalayan shrines close in October and November for the snow season, the deities are carried in procession to lower villages and worshipped there until the temples reopen in late April or May. This yatra visits each winter seat in turn. Goddess Yamuna is worshipped at Kharsali, about 1 km on foot from Janki Chatti. Goddess Ganga spends the winter at Mukhwa near Harsil, reached after a dip at the Gangnani hot spring. Lord Kedarnath is worshipped at the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, and Lord Badri Vishal at the Narsingh Temple in Joshimath and Yog Dhyan Badri at Pandukeshwar.
The route also takes in Lakhamandal, the Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Guptkashi, Triyuginarayan, a 2 km walk to Deoriyatal and Auli near Joshimath. Halts are at Barkot, Uttarkashi (two nights), Rudraprayag, Rampur, Gopeshwar, Joshimath, Pipalkoti and Rishikesh, so no single day is too long. Nine breakfasts and nine vegetarian dinners, transport, tolls, parking and darshan coordination are included; the Auli chair lift ticket, pooja, lunch and GST are extra. You report in Rishikesh the day before departure.

Report at Rishikesh one day before departure. Depart at 7:30 AM and drive via Mussoorie towards Barkot, stopping en route at Lakhamandal for darshan and pooja at the Lord Shiva temple. Continue to Barkot, arriving by around 5:00 PM. Check in, rest and enjoy dinner at the halt for the night.
