Fly from Delhi to Kathmandu (Tribhuvan International Airport). Upon arrival, check into your hotel and rest after the flight. In the evening, proceed to the Pashupatinath Temple complex for the Bagmati Aarti at the ghats — a moving evening ceremony of lamps and chanting on the sacred river that forms the perfect introduction to the Yatra.
