Kailash Doordarshan Yatra

The Kailash Doordarshan Yatra is a 3-day (2 nights) aerial darshan of Mount Kailash by chartered flight from Nepalgunj in Nepal. It starts and ends in Lucknow and is priced from ₹ 51,000 per person. The next departure is timed for Akshay Tritiya 2027. It is meant for devotees who long to see Kailash but cannot take on the weeks of travel, permits and high-altitude walking of the full Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

Mount Kailash (6,638 m) stands in western Tibet and has never been climbed. Hindus revere it as the abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati, Jains as Ashtapada where Rishabhadeva attained liberation, and Buddhists and followers of Bon hold it equally sacred. The Indus, Sutlej, Brahmaputra and Karnali all rise in the region around it, with Lake Mansarovar close by.

On Day 1 you are met in Lucknow and driven about 190 km (4-5 hours) to Nepalgunj via the Rupaidiha border, where our coordinator handles the crossing, followed by a flight briefing in the evening. Day 2 is darshan day: an early transfer to Nepalgunj airport and a charter flight of about an hour to the Kailash viewing zone and back, with the peak seen through the window from Nepali airspace. The afternoon is free, with an optional visit to Bageshwari Temple. Day 3 is the drive back to Lucknow. There is no trekking and no landing in Tibet, so no Tibet permit or Chinese visa is needed.

The price covers two nights in Nepalgunj, breakfast and dinner as listed, the charter flight, the private vehicle both ways, border assistance and a coordinator throughout.
