Travel tips

Carry Valid Passport & Visa

A passport with minimum six months validity and a Sri Lanka ETA are mandatory — keep multiple photocopies and digital backups handy; our team assists with the ETA.

Pack for Multiple Climates

This Yatra spans the north Indian plains, the Deccan, tropical southern coasts, and the cool Sri Lankan hills — pack light cottons plus a light jacket/woollens for Nuwara Eliya and Ella.

Carry Local Currency & a Travel Card

You will use three currencies (INR, NPR, LKR) — carry some local cash and a forex/travel card, as ATM and card acceptance vary across regions.

Comfortable Walking Shoes

Essential for temple complexes and short climbs such as the Kamadgiri parikrama and Anjanadri Hill steps.

Carry Personal Medicines

Basic first aid, prescriptions, paracetamol, and ORS/glucose — plus any regular medication, as brands differ across countries.

Keep Luggage Light & Modular

With multiple flights and frequent hotel changes, pack in a single manageable bag and keep a small daypack for daily sightseeing.

Reconfirm Flights & Transfers

Given the number of domestic and international segments, reconfirm each flight 24 hours in advance through our travel desk to avoid last-minute surprises.

Respect Temple Customs

Dress modestly, remove footwear where required, and follow photography rules at each shrine across all three countries.

Stay Connected

Consider an international roaming pack or local SIM in Nepal and Sri Lanka; our tour manager remains reachable throughout.

Build in Rest

This is a demanding multi-week journey — use leisure evenings to rest and recover between circuits and long travel days.
