The Amarnath Yatra with Ladakh Tour is a 9 nights / 10 days journey that starts in Srinagar and ends in Leh, joining darshan of the ice Shivling at the Holy Amarnath Cave (3,888 m) with the high passes, lakes and monasteries of Ladakh. The package is priced from ₹ 41,980 per person, with the final rate depending on group size, hotel category and travel dates. It runs only during the official Yatra period notified by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board; in 2026 that was 3 July to 28 August.
Sonmarg is the base for the Yatra. On Day 2 you drive to Baltal and take the included helicopter from Neelgarh helipad to Panchtarni (3,650 m). From there the cave is about 6 km by foot, pony or palki, and the helicopter brings you back to Baltal the same day, weather and slot availability permitting. Pony, palki and porter charges are paid on the spot. Registration and permit support is part of the package, but every pilgrim still needs a valid Yatra permit, a Compulsory Health Certificate from an authorised doctor and an original photo ID.
After a Dal Lake evening in Srinagar, the route crosses Zoji La to Leh (3,524 m), where the pace slows for acclimatisation before Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and Magnetic Hill. You then go over Chang La to Pangong Tso (about 4,350 m), over Khardung La (5,359 m) to the Hunder dunes of Nubra Valley, and finish with the old monasteries of Alchi and Lamayuru or Likir before flying out of Leh.
Included are nine nights of accommodation, hotel breakfasts, private vehicles for all road transfers, toll and parking, sightseeing as listed and airport pickup and drop. Arrive at Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport, Srinagar. Our tour representative welcomes you and transfers you directly to Sonmarg (approximately 80 km, 2.5 hours) — the Golden Meadow — your base for the Amarnath Yatra. Check into hotel and freshen up. En route or in the afternoon, visit Shankaracharya Temple — the ancient hilltop Shiva temple perched at 1,000 feet above Srinagar, offering panoramic views of the Kashmir valley. Also visit the iconic Mughal Gardens: Nishat Bagh (Garden of Bliss) and Shalimar Bagh (Garden of Love) — both laid out along the Dal Lake shore by the Mughal emperors, with terraced chinar trees, water channels, and mountain backdrops. Evening: Yatra briefing session — route details, helicopter procedures, health guidelines, packing instructions for the Amarnath trek, and permit verification. Dinner at hotel and rest.
